Hello, my name is Emily Patchin. I was born and raised in a very small town in rural Saskatchewan called Porcupine Plain. Going through high school, there was never any other career that seriously considered pursuing other than becoming a teacher. My mom teaches the third grade, and my Auntie taught me Home Economics for a few years in middle school, so I’ve always felt pretty comfortable in a school environment. To be honest, as of right now, my experience with educational technology is rather mediocre. I think that blogging is a great resource to use as an e-portfolio to provide potential future employers with, but beyond that, I don’t have much knowledge as to what else they are best used for. I’m all the way open to learning more about other uses from blogging. My blogging experience level is definitely on the low-side, but I’m looking forward to bettering my blogging skills. I would love to gain more knowledge about how to effectively use and implement educational technology in my future classroom.
